Spider-Man 4 villain accidentally teased early, and fans really aren’t happy

It seems that a main villain may have been accidentally teased forSpider-Man 4and not everyone is happy about it.

We know very little about the upcomingSpider-Man 4movie, which still doesn’t have an official full title. All we know for sure is thatTom Holland will returnto reprise his role as thefriendly neighbourhood hero.

Without giving too much away, Peter Parker made a heartbreaking sacrifice inSpider-Man: No Way Hometo help protect those he loves. It will be interesting to see how those events play out in Spider-Man 4 but I for one will be hoping for a more grounded tale, similar to 2017’sSpider-Man: Homecomingand itsVulturevillain.

I for one will be hoping that Spider-Man will be teaming up with Daredevil to fight Kingpin now that the latter two are officially members of the MCU withDaredevil: Born Againcoming to Disney Plus in 2025.

As of yet, we’ve not seen Peter Parker and Venom tangle in Sony’s Spider-Man universe but those hopes were seemingly dashed in this year’sVenom: The Last Dance, said to be Tom Hardy’s last outing as the troublesome symbiote.

It’s been suggested that Tom Hardy may not be done with the Venom character after all and withSpider-Man 4expected to play some part in further multiverse shenanigans, the iconic rival duo could be set to clash once more.

“Screw this,” said Redditor ZekeorSomething, putting it bluntly.

“I’m still wondering why Hardy’s Venom can’t be Andrew Garfield’s foe.The Amazing Spider-Manseems to be in a more “mature” universe so Hardy’s Venom would work well in that universe,” suggests grassytrailalligator. I must say, I love that idea.

We should take this apparent accidental tease with a pinch of salt because it might be an error. We’ll just have to wait and see if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom finally clash in the upcoming movie.
