Big shocks were in store for readers of Marel comics as the publisher and creative teams recently revealed that Miles Morales has a daughter.

So, in the latest issue ofSpider-Man: Reign 2, the parentage was revealed of Kitty-Kat, the daughter of Felicia Hardy, and a replacement forBlack Cat.

The father is an estrangedMile Morales.
According to a preview of the new issuevia GamesRadar, Spidey has to battle his former protégé Miles Morales, in a new timeline, who has grown much stronger.

When fighting Miles,Spider-Mangets wiped out and Kitty-Kat comes to the rescue. It’s at this point we get the bombshell that Miles Morales is actually her dad.
This brings up many more questions than it answers, as always, but the primary one is whether Morales was a deadbeat dad and just upped and left his kid.
It appears that the ‘Reign’ universe has even corrupted Miles and left him a shell of his former self.
But wait, there’s more, and it gets worse.

During the fight, Kitty-Kat divulges more information and reveals that she has spent her life running from Miles after he hurt his daughter and her mother.
It’s a very dark turn for a Spider-Man that so many of us love and enjoy reading. Hopefully there’s a path to redemption for him, but only time will tell.
