If you love Spider-Man live-action movies, then you’re in for a treat. Well, that’s if Sony can get its act together.
Long before theMarvelcinematic universe was a thing, comicfans have been blessed with live-actionSpider-Manadaptations, in particular, the Tobey Maguire movies of the early 2000s. However, perhaps the less said aboutSpider-Man 3(2007), the better.
Check out Venom: The Last Dance trailer below!
I even enjoyed Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man movies which is why it still pains me today that that series has never completed its trilogy. That being said, fans are still hoping that we’ll getThe Amazing Spider-Man 3movie one day.

While the MCU has mostly gotten it right, the same cannot be said forSony’suniverse, outside of the Spider-Man live-actionmoviesas well as the animated adaptations starring Miles Morales.
I mean, just look at the likes ofMorbiusandMadeem Web, movies so bad that I’d rather jump on a broken pogo stick butt first from 100 feet. I know the Venom movies starring Tom Hardy aren’t great either, but at this point, it feels like I’m constantly accepting the best from a bad bunch due to my appreciation of the symbiote.
With such a level of inconsistency, it feels that Sony is forever rebooting with its latest attempts to compete with the MCU and now it looks like the upcomingKraven the Hunteris the latest attempt, which I’m not all that excited about either.

Everything else, including the next live-action Tom Holland movies, has no release date and that also includes the third animated Miles Morales movie,Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is expected to launch sometime in 2025.
The only plus is that we know the fourth Tom Holland movie andBeyond the Spider-Verseare in pre-production as well as a live-action Spider-Man noir series. Being the sceptical person that I am, it might be wise to keep our expectations low and perhaps brace ourselves for yet another Sony live-action reboot.
