Rogen has famously been involved in a number of successful superhero projects over the last few years, including the Amazon Prime TV showsInvincibleandThe Boys, though the star is yet to touch anyMarvelorDCIP.

It’s said the film won’t be connected to the live-action films starring Tom Hardy, the last of which will premiere later this year and is titledVenom: The Last Dance.

While some fans were sceptical about Rogen’s involvement in the project others referred to the recent shows he’s been involved with, believing he’d do a great job with an R-rated Venom.

One fan wrote: “After the run he’s had, I trust him with any comic book property!"

“Seth Rogen?! This about to cook," another added.

Of course all of this is pure speculation and rumour at the moment, as neither Rogen nor Sony have confirmed if Venom will be getting additional projects afterVenom: The Last Dance.

There’s also speculation that Andrew Garfield’sThe Amazing Spider-Man 3and Tobey Maguire’sSpider-Man 4are back on the table following their appearance inSpider-Man: No Way Home.
