Spider-Man fans teased with new series we’ve waited years for

It has officially been 30 years since the animated showSpider-Manfirst aired and it seems like its producer and head writer is ready to revisit the story once more.

First airing in 1994 and telling the story ofPeter Parkerdeveloping his spider-like powers whilst juggling daily life and fighting super villains, the animatedshowran until 1998 for a total of five seasons.

More shockingly, Semper has not been credited in the movies for his idea and the writer took to Twitter to share his frustrations.

“Hey, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, and Christina Steinberg - even though you’ve never seen fit to thank me in your credits for creating the Spider-Verse concept - You’re welcome, anyway!” hewrotein response to anarticlewhich saw the aforementioned creators awarded for their work on the recent movies.

It is a shocking oversight but gave fans of the originalSpider-Mananimated show the chance to ask Semper about his future plans.

One user asked: “Thoughts on Spider-Man 98!? Continuing the story like X-Men is doing!”

To which Semperreplied: “All they have to do is call me. I’m here, and I’d certainly consider doing it.”
