
The rumoured title for the next Spider-Man movie has seemingly leaked and it has fans torn on social media.
We know thatSpider-Man 4is on the wayand we know thatTom Holland will reprisethe role of the friendly neighbourhood hero. However, at this time, we don’t know what story it will tell, yet, a reported title might hint at what we can expect.

Without giving too much away, in the 2021movie,Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker made a heartbreaking sacrifice that looks to have a major impact on the next movie and some hope thatSpider-Man4could be a more grounded tale.

That being said, it’s clear that Sony is intent on building its ownMCUwith its Spider-Man universe. WhetherSonygarners a level of success that remotely gets close to whatDisneyhas achieved is a topic for another day.
Later this month,Venom: The Last Dancearrives in cinemas and it looks to be Tom Hardy’s last soirée as Eddie Brock but it could have big implications for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man going forward.

TheKing in Blackcomic book series centres around the supervillain known as Knull, and is credited with creating symbiotes which is of course what the likes of Venom and Carnage are. What’s more, Knull is set to make his debut inVenom: The Last Dance.

So, when we consider that the full title ofSpider-Man 4has not been made official, at least publicly, and with Knull expected to make his live-action debut inVenom: The Last Dance,Spider-Man: King in Blackis beginning to make sense.
However, not everyone is happy about the potential title. “I like when they used “home” in the titles,” replied pmtwreckhouse to the tweet from Cosmic Marvel.
“So, no more “home” in the titles,” asked Gowdham.
“I’m so glad they’re keeping it grounded and down to earth,” said a sarcastic GeorgeDeLacy.

At the end of the day, as cool as it sounds, the titleSpider-Man: King in Blackis unconfirmed speculation so we should take it with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Hopefully, Sony will reveal all in the coming months and put us out of our misery.
