It’s not outside the realms of possibility thatSonymight have decided to replace Tom Holland (as silly as that would have been) with a new actor such as Kevin Hart, especially with the multiverse shenanigans. Actually, do I want to see Kevin Hart play Peter Parker now?

Nonetheless, Destin Daniel Cretton will be taking over directorial duties from Jon Watts forSpider-Man4and with that arrives Tom Holland as our friendly neighbourhood hero once more, and fans are delighted.

Without giving too much away, it will be interesting what storySpider-Man 4will tell following the events of 2021’sNo Way Home. Personally, I’m hoping for something more grounded too that will feature old-school Spidey villains, King Pin and Venom.
Spider-Man 4does not have a release date at the time of writing but it might be safe to assume that it’s going to be at least a couple of years away.
In the meantime, we can look forward to the arrival ofCaptain America: New World Orderreleased in cinemas on 14 February 2025.
