Now though, an insider is claiming that a remaster of at least one of the Splinter Cell titlesisgoing ahead in an official capacity.

As shared on the gaming leaks and rumours subreddit, insider Brazil has spoken aboutNintendo’s aim to “court third-party games”.

What this means, so the rumour goes, is that Nintendo is working on third-party remasters of certain games.

According to the insider, one of those games isSplinter Cell Blacklist.

“Brazil specifically mentioned that this initiative is to make sure Switch 1 owners who don’t immediately upgrade to Switch 2 still have some new things to play,”the original poston Resetera reads.

This isn’t to say Brazil’s claims aren’t accurate, just that without official evidence to back it up, it’s wise to consider it as rumour only.

Even though many of you understand this, it isn’t stopping fans from discussing the validity of this claim, as well as their predictions about when the Switch 2 will finally be revealed.

There’s also some confusion over whySplinter Cell Blacklisthas been chosen over other Splinter Cell outings.

“WhyBlacklistand not the Xbox trilogy, though? Feel like the latter is much more desirable for a porting job,”arguedtimelordoftheimpala.

We all have questions. Unfortunately, getting firm answers to them might prove difficult.

That said, so-called insider knowledge is pointing to the possibility of that Splinter Cell remaster.
