The trailershows all kinds of stealth action and gadgets that fans will love and remember - it doesn’t take away the sting of not having a new game, but perhaps this is Ubisoft remembering it has more IP thanAssassin’s Creed.

It has been over a decade since the lastSplinter Cellgame and fans haven’t forgotten the wondrous stealth sections and covert technology from the series.

These will come to life in this animated adaptation as Netflix once again broadens its gaming catalogue of shows.

According to the promotional material, the show currently has no release date, but Netflix has unveiled the creative team behind the project.

While the trailer doesn’t show a lot, it is instantly recognisable as we see Sam’s trademark night-vision goggles sinking below some water.

We get a shot of Sam himself, also submerged, while he seemingly flashes back to a funeral for a man named Douglas Shetland “Beloved Father.”

This all happens underneath Schreiber’s gravelly voice delivering the line, “Once you get used to the shadows, you see bad people for who they really are. And they’ll never see you coming for them.”
