Spyro’s Moneybags voted as ‘the worst character in gaming’ by fans

Spyro is a name that evokes strong childhood memories for me and many other people. We could soar through the sky, take down our enemies, save the dayandlook cool whilst doing it; a golden gaming experience for sure. Yet there was a darkness lurking within those jolly pixels, of a greedy bear who snatched our gems away from us at every turn. Moneybags.

Time to focus on the greatness ofSpyro Reignited Trilogyand not the greedy lies of a certain bear…

“As a kid, I literally learned the word ‘fee’ from that dude,”sharedSuttreeBeard on Reddit. “Such a piece of sh*t I learned a process of capital from him.” We all did, my friend, we all did. It was unavoidable when a conman as skilful as Moneybags gets their paws on you. The amount of time I spent grinding to find gems, searching high and low, every nook and cranny, doesn’t bear thinking about.

Let me posit this: there’d be no Tom Nook withoutActivision’s Moneybags.

Some fans were less detailed with their ire, simply saying “F*ck that guy” before running away to cry about all the gems they lost to Moneybags’ schemes. If you think expletives are too much, you’ve clearly never had to deal with this deceitful bear before.

Perhaps the only Spyro character that can rival Moneybags for the top spot of worst character are the Thieves. Every time I hear “na nana na na” I immediately shudder. I spent hours –hours– struggling to catch those sticky-fingered inconveniences when I was a kid. “I’m imagining a purgatory where you chase him endlessly. That would mean unspeakable suffering, as you listen to his ‘na-na na-na-na’ bullsh*t into perpetuity,” said jacksonattack, and it’s a horror I never want to face.

Thank goodness that ourbeautiful purple boy is returningwithout Moneybags in tow! Long may Moneybags never darken our consoles or lighten our wallets again.
