Star Wars Count Dooku prequel is peak Star Wars, fans agree

For all the so-called “bad” Star Wars tales, there are others that are regarded as some of the best storytelling of the franchise.

It’s a rarity given how much the fandom argues over the pros and cons of everyStar Warsnarrative, but from time to time miracles do happen.

One such peak moment in Star Wars comes from a Count Dooku prequel.

While his story isn’t told in a separate series dedicated solely to him, the three-episode arc acts as a prequel to the Count Dooku we come to know later in the franchise.

In response to this, the OP of the Reddit thread about said episodescommented, “The whole arc is just a cut above so much other Star Wars content. I just love it when Star Wars surprises me with how damn good the storytelling can be.”

The compliments don’t stop there.

User boogerblump said, “Those episodes were absolutely the best thing to ever be made under the Star Wars banner.”

Another remarked, “It’s definitely at the top of recent productions. It actually adds valuable insight to the character without stumbling and tripping over continuity.”

Some fans even go so far as to suggest Count Dooku’s story should be turned into a feature film, though not everyone is in agreement.

“It’s the kind of mini-Andorlevel of development we need for SW characters, done in such a way that it’s understandable and relatable to a wide audience as it’s clear what his motivations and actions were aimed at achieving,” explained FeralSquirrels.

When other aspects of the franchise are quietly confirmed – likewhat happened to Coruscant in the sequel trilogy– fans love an in-depth look at these additional stories.

If future Star Wars projects can capture the essence of what made these three episodes so brilliant, less discourse would likely occur.

Maybe… We all know that the fandom isn’t one for presenting a united front.
