Star Wars creator confirms all 9 films are told from 1 unexpected character’s perspective

The Star Wars legacy, so far, covers nine mainline films and a couple of spin-offs, encompassing a lengthy story of good versus evil.

This kind of makes sense. After all,R2-D2is around for all nine films, much like C-3PO.

The droids are involved in pretty much every twist and turn through the films and bear witness to some of the biggest moments in the franchise.

Of course, we’re actually being narrated to. There are no beeps and whistles to tell us the story, but one could even assume that the opening crawl of each film is R2 displaying the tale via a holo-projection.

So, all the Star Wars canon is stored on the droid’s hard drive, probably featuring clips in 4K.

This begs the question, does R2-D2 know all the ins and outs of the Solo film, orRogue One? Has he been informed of the goings-on in the TV shows?

Or does he browse whatever version of Wikipedia exists in the far-flung future?

This is one of those lovely bits of information we rarely get since Lucas handed the reins over toDisney.
