If you’re itching for a new film to watch, you may want to check outThe Creator- an epic new sci-fi fromRogue Onedirector Gareth Edwards that’s set to release on 29 September. Edwards didn’t simply direct the film. He also produced it, and co-wrote the script with Chris Weitz.

Sci-fi fans have been expecting big things from the film which is no surprise really. Edwards’ back catalogue is pretty impressive, seeing as he directed both 2016’sRogue One: AStar WarsStory(a film which many consider to be the best in the franchise) and 2014’sGodzilla. This is someone who knows how to deal with a story told on an epic scale. The auteur’s latest effort,The Creator, stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney. Here at GAMINGbible, we had the opportunity to sit down to chat with Edwards about the making of the film, touching on the topic of a couple of sneakyRogue OneEaster eggs.

He went on to tease that there’s one further Easter egg hidden in the film. “There is another Easter egg in there to do withRogue One,” he said. “No one’s spotted it yet.” I accept that as a challenge.

The Creatoris set “amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence,” reads the synopsis. “Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war… and mankind itself.” It really is a must-see.

The Creatoris set to release on 29 September.
