“Darth Plagueis faked his death and possessed Palpatine afterwards,” theyclaim, “Which would make Plagueis the secret villain of the whole saga.
Such a bold claim will always be met with a certain level of scepticism, however, while there are doubtful fans, others are quick to agree with this theory.

This is assuming you believe Plagueis is genuinely deceased, which is yet another theory that throws the cat amongst the pigeons.
