Star Wars fans disturbed by Jawas' true appearance under their hoods

One of my favourite aspects of Star Wars is the fact that several of the franchise’s mysteries have, to this day, gone unanswered.

There’s so much about our own Earth, and all of the facets within it, that scientists still don’t know.

It’s only fitting that within an enormous galaxy some things also remain unknown.

The truth behind Anakin Skywalker’s parentage is still a tad hazy and, of course, new mysteries have arisen now thatThe Acolytewill never have the chance to reveal what happened to Mae and Osha.

One trivial mystery concerns the Jawas who’ve never revealed what they look like beneath those familiar brown robes.

In fact, those amber-coloured glowing eyes are the species’ only distinguishable feature, but we can’t even say for certain whether that’s a native feature or due to some kind of hidden mask.

It’s usually believed to be the former, but there’s no concrete proof.

You can see why the true appearance of the Jawas is a topic of conversation that’s caused much debate in the fandom.

We recently sat down with the cast and creatives ofSkeleton Crew.

“What do you think Jawas look like under the robes?”askedReddit user beefstewforyou.

“Furry,”repliedMelcrys29, with Fatpikadding, “Very furry.”

Strangely, I’ve always thought of them as being the complete opposite; granite-looking little alien fellas.

That being said,The Book of Boba Feetdid, for some reason, change the character design and give them enormous gorilla hands.

“Like a wet koala,”wrotephilread80, conjuring a very specific image.

“Something human-like, but removed enough that it triggers the uncanny valley instinct,”offeredAndroktone.

“I want that to remain a mystery forever,”commentedOkok_crocodrilebread which sums up how I feel.

The truth is that we don’t know what Jawas look like and hopefully, we never will.
