Millions of fans were eagerly awaiting the remake ofStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but now there are fears the game has been cancelled after the trailer has been scrubbed from social media.
I don’t mind saying I’m a bit gutted thatKnights of the Old Republicmight be cancelled. The original RPG is one of the bestStar Warsvideo games of all time. Many players consider it to be a masterpiece, so everyone lost their minds when a remake was announced and a trailer dropped during a PlayStation showcase in 2021.

Now, however, it seems the trailer is being taken down or made private across social media. An optimist might say ‘maybe they just have a new trailer coming’, but the game has made headlines because development has been very rocky, which means cancellation is more likely. Constant delays and changes in the development team haven’t made things easy for the remake.

A lot of Redditors are quick to blame Embracer who, after a spate of buying seemingly every other video game developer, is now selling studios, folding others and nuking projects. One Redditor says “Everything regarding Embracer, except for the massive projects being made at established studios, is in jeopardy.”
