Star Wars' Mace Windu and Qui-Gon return in epic new prequel

There are two characters from the Star Wars prequels that everyone wishes had more screen time, for one reason or another.

Qui-Gon because he was cut down in his prime, andMace Windu, simply because he was a badass Jedi.

The two had dealings with each other through the Jedi council, however it was limited from what we saw.

Mace Windu certainly had Qui-Gon’s ear during the epic events ofThe Phantom Menaceand they each had their own thoughts on Anakin’s training.

This takes him to an Outer Rim planet called Metagos where Windu must bring aid to the people there in honour ofQui-Gon.

However, before all this takes place, there are several scenes where the two Jedi will converse and share their thoughts, bringing a closer look at their friendship and working relationship.

We’ll even get a look a Qui-Gon Jinn’s funeral and, according to early readers, find out much more about the stoicism of the Jedi and how this impacts their relationships.

It sounds like a must-read forStar Warsfans, especially if we get to see more about the Jedi order which, despite the endless media on it, still has secrets.

A little tidbit shared outside the pages is that Qui-Gon once gave Windu life advice that sounds a little darker than the Jedi would usually allow.

He told Windu to “turn pain into power.” This came as Windu used his lightsaber training to work through his grief and loss, another facet that will be interesting to read.
