Star Wars fans have plenty of questions regarding different aspects of the shows and films, yet the one that’s bugged them the most is Obi-Wan’s disappearing body. Why did it happen?

For the majority offilmfans, however, the most agreeable theory is that these characters give themselves to the Force.
Upon their deaths, they no longer have any physical connection to the world and thus give their energy – their essence – to the Force.
Consequently, this explains why Obi-Wan’s body ceases to be entirely: the Force now has it. Every atom has been absorbed.
Next time you watch Vader land that deadly blow, you should no longer have all those questions invading your head as to why Obi-Wan vanishes.

Besides, Obi-Wan wasn’t originally destined to die, but instead sit on the sidelines and contribute nothing of note during crucial battles.
Sad though it is that he had to die, the character proved to live on through the Force in a far more satisfying way than what his actual life would have given him.
Although we now have an answer to the burning question, we can’t help but wonder what other queries and/or secrets will arise in a faraway galaxy in the not too distant future.
