In terms ofRey’sorigins, inThe Force Awakens, all we knew about her parents was that they were “nobody”, however, that changed with a big reveal inThe Rise of Skywalker. In the novelisationStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Expanded Edition), it’s been revealed that the Emperor Palpatine clone was a failed clone. What’s more, Yahoo.comreportsthat Emperor Palpatine actor, Ian McDiarmid, stated that the failed cloning detail was supposed to feature inThe Rise of Skywalkerbut was removed for whatever reason.

It’s certainly interesting to learn a little more about Rey’s origins, especially as her story was shrouded in so much mystery in the movies from 2015 to 2019. Whether those details will be explored further into potential new Star Wars movies, remains to be seen.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Expanded Edition)is available wherever you buy your books from. As for the entire Star Wars live-action movies and TV series, they’re all available to stream now on Disney Plus, including the latest show,The Acolyte.
