While mostly having a similar dark, moody tone, a common trend of a Sith Lords is a well-designed mask to let everyone know that a badass has just entered the building, but a good Sith Lord mask has more than one purpose other than gaining notoriety.
A Sith Lord mask can also strike fear into enemies. However, perhaps above all else, the most important and lesser known reason that masks are worn is that they allow the user to block out distractions, both via sight and sound, deepening the user’s connection to the Force.
