Star Wars: The Acolyte cancelled after 1 season, despite breaking streaming record

What might not surprise many but will disappoint some fans at the same time,Star Wars: The Acolytehas been cancelled after just one season.

The Acolyteonly debuted in theStar Warsuniverse in June this year with its last episode airing onDisneyPlus on 16 July 2024. It even left us on more than one cliffhanger, but nowconfirming recent speculation, fans will never get to see how events play out in season two.

At the end of the day, whether someone likes amovie or TV series, is personal preference. As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I knew thatThe Acolytewas goofy and very silly in places (even for Star Wars) and featured some of the dumbest Jedi ever, but weirdly, it’s kind of why I enjoyed watching this series.
