If you want to master the elements like The Legend of Zelda’s Link in a cosy cottagecore world that echoes what’s offered up inStardew Valley, you may want to keep an eye on the upcomingCozy Crest.

Take a look atCozy Crestin action below.

In terms of its traversal,Cozy Crest’s glide tool is taking me back to myBreath of the WildandTears of the Kingdomplaythroughs. The farming/life sim elements are quite clearly going to appeal to fans ofStardew ValleyorAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, while there is clearly a Studio Ghibli-inspired aesthetic at play here too.

Much like the characters ofNetflix’sAvatar: The Last Airbender, you’ll learn to master the four elements - earth, wind, fire, and water - using these to tend to your garden and farm. It goes without saying that your farm comes complete with a cosy humble abode which is yours to decorate, alter, and expand.Cozy Crestwill also take you into the open-world wilderness, where you’ll be able to use your mastery over the elements to locate important resources.

There’s a day and night cycle so the world feels lived in, plus you can climb rock faces, swim in rivers, and glide above the landscape, offering you a varied view of this delightful picturesque world. Throw in the procedurally-generated dungeons, co-op play, optional relationships, and character customisation, and there’s a lot to be excited about when it comes toCozy Crest. The game is set to launch on Steam later this year, and it’s one that we’ll be keeping an eye on.
