This Steam game is a bizarre blend of Far Cry Primal and Stardew Valley, and we’re here for it.
With a near-endless supply of farming and life simulators, it takes something exceptional to stand out amongst the rest. Noneever seem to come closeto the peaceful perfection ofStardew Valley, but this one is definitely worth consideration.

It’s calledRoots of Pacha, and it’s available onSteamright now. That comparison toFar CryPrimalcrossed withStardew Valleymight sound odd, because it is, but there’s really no better way of summarising it.

The official description sells it better than I possibly could, which reads: “Be a part of a thriving stone age community. Discover “ideas,” domesticate crops, befriend animals, and contribute to the growth of your village. Play with friends in co-op or explore the early days of civilization in single-player.”
Taming mammoths with your friends online sort of givesArk: Survival Ascendedvibes, just with more basic gameplay and visuals. TheStardew Valleyinspiration is clearly visible too, especially with the emphasis on farming new crops and building relationships with your fellow community members.
So farRoots of Pachahas received nothing but overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, so it’s definitely one to consider if you’re looking for a new game to play, and it’s surprisingly cheap too. The full-game can be purchased for £21.99, and you can also get the soundtrack if you’re willing to spend a little bit more.
