“You’ve inherited your grandfather’s oldfarmplot inStardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life,” reads the description of the game onSteam. “Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?”

As a myth, a rabbit’s foot is an item considered to bring good luck and we might assume that the same would apply inStardew Valleybut we’d be wrong thinking that. One player has discovered that the rabbit’s foot does not bring good luck inStardew Valleywhatsoever.
“I wanted to share in case anyone else is completely oblivious to the fact that lucky rabbit feet are, ironically, not lucky,”saidRedditor VinegarShips. Apparently, the rabbit’s foot inStardew Valleyreduces the risk of the worst outcome when dating in the game and is also said to be an item needed to rebuild the Community Centre in Pelican Town.

However, as for bringing any luck, the rabbit’s foot inStardew Valleydoes nothing, well, mostly. Thankfully, at least for VinegarShips, they’re not alone in thinking that the rabbit foot brings good luck in the game.
“I carried a rabbit foot with me everywhere for a few years, too!!! You’re not alone!” replied PROlificator. “ That being said, various Reddit users said that there is a way that the rabbit foot can bring you good luck because it can be traded for a lucky charm, so it’s not all bad news.
