Stardew Valley players surprised with 2024’s final free update

What a delightful Christmas surprise this is. Well, at least for some.

A surprise new free update has landed forStardew Valley, rounding off what has been an excellent year for the beloved indie title - mainly down to the success of the 1.6 update.

Unexpectedly, solo dev Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone has released one final little treat for players but there is a catch.

Stardew Valley’s latest update, numbered 1.6.15, is currently only available onPC, Android, and iOS with a console rollout likely to come in 2025.

As crushing as this may be for console players, it’s somewhat expected news.

This pattern follows with what’s happened for many ofStardew Valley’s previous update rollouts.
