In an odd swerve Bethesda have announced thatStarfieldplayers who own the game via Steam can now opt into a beta for the game. This may seem like the wrong way around, usually we get a beta for a game that is yet to release, howeverBethesdawant players to have a hand in future updates to the game.
Players don’t have to play the beta version of the game, it is an ‘opt in’ program, but those who choose to play will get the chance to see updates well before they release to the general public.
The beta participation comes as part of a biggerupdate that also includes DLSSsupport and a whole host of bug squashing, too.

Should you want to take part in the beta it’s a pretty simple path to get set up:
Bethesda invite players tojoin their Discordso you can leave notes and thoughts on the updates. This is the first time Bethesda have tried something like this and it certainly seems like they want fans to have a hand in guiding the game’s future. They have already been implementing ideas and requests, which should hopefully make for a more impressive game overall.
