Starfield fans are freaking out over newly discovered open-world boundaries

Starfieldfans are going into meltdown due to a leaked in-game message that prevents you from exploring parts of a planet.

One of the key selling points ofBethesda’sspace-exploration game,Starfield, was you could do exactly that, explore space. This includes flying your very owncustom starship from system to system, before landing on one of the game’s1,000 planetsand explore it at your leisure.

Take a look at Starfield’s gameplay trailer below

Unfortunately, fans are panicking at leaked gameplay that suggests once you walk a certain distance on the planet, the game stops you from going any further and asks you to pick a different region.

It was already pre-established that players wouldn’t be able to simply fly down to a planet of their choosing and start wandering. Instead, players need to choose the planet, and which part they want to explore, and have the ship take you there automatically. Many believed that while you couldn’t fly around the planet in your ship, you could at least travel the globe on foot if you so desired.

Obviously, some fans are now worried thatStarfieldhas fallen victim to classic Bethesda marketing, and planets aren’t as explorable as we once believed. That being said, others believe the boundary message is being blown out of proportion, with some claiming the planet the boundary message appeared on was the tutorial planet, so other planets will likely have more to see and do than the one you start your adventure on.
