Starfield finally has pilotable mechs, you can check ‘em out now

After years of patiently waiting, Bethesda’s highly anticipated sci-fi RPGStarfieldarrived in September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

DidStarfieldlive up to all the years of hype? That depends on the individual. For some,Starfieldwas one of the best games of 2023 and for others, it was a bit meh. On one hand, it’s fun travelling the galaxy partaking in missions, making discoveries, and meeting NPCs. However, some could argue that space exploration isn’t as limitless as we’d hoped while randomised planets feel a little bland. Though a Bethesda rep might think otherwise to those who may dare to labelStarfieldas boring.

Bethesda is brimming with a vibrantmoddingcommunity as we have seen with the likes ofThe Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimandFallout 4, and with a bit of luck,Starfieldwill be no exception. That being said, some of the most popular Bethesdamodders have already given uponStarfield. Thankfully, there is at least one activeStarfieldmodder that aims to make the sci-fi RPG a better experience for us all. Well, as long as you play it on PC.

If Bethesda decides not to include vehicles in the sci-fi RPG, this is evidence that mechs at least have a place in the game. After all, they do exist within it but as a museum piece. Whether Bethesda will bring mechs or other land vehicles toStarfieldofficially, remains to be seen. That being said, at least we can count on the talented modders to breathe new life into the games we love.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this mod is in its early days of development, so there is a lot of work still to be done, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.Starfieldis out now on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
