Starfield may let you keep cats and dogs as concept art reemerges

Starfieldgenuinely sounds like a dream come true. Over 1000 planets to explore? Sign me up. NPCs that will say your actual name? Incredible stuff. Cool alien lifeforms to discover? Hell yeah.

However, one thing that many fans overlooked is the fact that, seemingly,Starfieldmay also let you adopt or look after pets in space, which was truly the only thing holding it back from becoming 2023’s game of the year, if you ask me.

Take a look at the story trailer forStarfieldbelow.

If pets are a thing inStarfield, then you’d certainly hope that dogs are included, too.Especiallyif they get to wear little space suits. That bit is important. And hey, even if Earth-dwelling pets didn’t make the final cut, maybe we could adopt some of the friendlieraliensinstead? Please, Todd Howard, say it’s true.

Even though completionists will probably be busy exploringStarfield’s planets for weeks, themain story is actually a lot shorter than you might have expected. Howard previously stated that the campaign will take between 30 and 40 hours to complete, which is certainly noPersona 5 Royal. Again though, we can expect that a huge amount of playtime will go towards side quests and exploration, so don’t worry if you think that 30 hours isn’t going to be meaty enough for you.

Starfieldis set to launch on 6 September.
