Starfield meets Sea Of Thieves in beautiful upcoming game

There are many wonderful things to love about video games, especially as they can provide us with lasting memories that we’ll not be able to live in the real world. Video games can also offer a level of immersion that no other form of media can provide.

Arguably, the best genre when it comes to player immersion is the RPG. Whether it’s embarking on epic quests in a mediaeval fantasy world fighting dragons as seen inThe Elder Scrollsor exploring outer space inNo Man’s Sky.

Check out the wonderful live action Starfield trailer below!

WhenBethesda’sStarfieldwas released in September 2023, it was supposed to be the bigXboxSeries X|S exclusive that fans have been waiting for. To be fair, with over 1000 planets and 100 solar systems to explore,Starfieldis a very big game in that respect. However, in terms of quality and mass opinion, it’s been a mixed bag of tricks. Depending on who you ask, they might loveStarfieldor they might hate it. After all, it’s the difference of opinion that can make our world an interesting place.

In ourreview ofStarfield, we said: “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of.Starfieldis that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.”

There is plenty of fun to be had inStarfield, but hopefully, over time the game can be made into an even better experience, similar to what Hello Games did withNo Man’s Skyand Rare withSea of Thieves. Yet, until that time may or may not arrive, the upcomingHyperspacefrom Swedish developers, Keepsake Games might fill that void. Just a heads up, there are a few games of a similar name onSteam, which can be a little confusing.

“Hyperspace(working title) is a co-op PvE game where you and your three friends take the role of a crew of a spaceship. You’ll be flying the ship, firefighting, optimising energy flows, manning turrets, exploring derelict shipwrecks, and more!” reads the description of the game. IfHyperspaceseems like it could be your cup of tea, you can sign up for updatesviaits official website, which also has some beautiful screenshots to check out.

Unlike other space adventure games such asStarfieldandNo Man’s Sky, the galaxy ofHyperspacewill be handcrafted and not procedurally generated, but will have randomised events to keep each playthrough feeling fresh.

At the time of writing,Hyperspacedoes not have a release date, but Keepsake Games intends to launch the game on Steam Early Access at some point during late 2024. Hopefully, in the coming months, the developers might release a gameplay trailer for us to see ifHyperspacelooks as good as it seems.
