WhileStarfieldended up being far more of a polarising game than I think any of us perhaps expected, I had a very pleasant time indeed with Bethesda’s latest RPG.
It’s true thatStarfieldcould do with a few quality-of-life tweaks, namelythe addition of city maps, and I’m looking forward to seeing its vast galaxy explored even further via the upcomingShattered Spaceexpansion. That being said,Starfieldis a project full of depth, ambition, and narrative immersion, earning it a 10 from me. GAMINGbible’sreviewreads, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of.Starfieldis that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout. The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come. Here is a playground where you can be whoever you want to be.”
Take a look at a video version of ourStarfieldreview below.
I may be a fan ofStarfieldbut I don’t claim to match the enthusiasm of one particular player who’s somehow managed to rack up over 850 hours in-game. That’s not even what this story is about. Said player managed to stumble across a brand new location after all of those hours, just giving you an idea of the breadth of the impressive galaxyStarfieldoffers.

What secrets do you continue to hide,Starfield? “It constantly amazes me the number of things in this game that I’ve yet to stumble over,”wrotedocclox, while the OP added, “Agreed. I always keep seeing people say this game is a mile wide and an inch deep but I just haven’t experienced that. I am constantly finding new things. I legit just jump from system to system, fly around and just find random stuff all the time. I’ve so gotten my money’s worth from this game.”
Starfielddoes have that classic Bethesda spin. Talking to a seemingly random NPC can kick start a thrilling quest. Bring onShattered Space, I say.
