Starfield players can now skip the game’s most time consuming quest

Starfieldis one of the biggest games in recent times, not only in terms of pre-release hype but also with its in-game map size - and there’s a reason why some fans describe it as beingSkyrimin space.

Released in September 2023 forPCandXboxSeries X/S,Starfieldis the next big RPG fromBethesdafollowing in the footsteps of the aforementionedSkyrimas well asFallout 4and more. DidStarfieldlive up to its pre-release hype? Well, that answer is subjective but at the very least, this sci-fi RPG has been the talk of the galaxy for several months.

In ourreview ofStarfield, we said: “Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout. The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come.”

Depending on how you play the game, it can take anywhere between 30 to 150 hours to completeStarfield. However, one of the main reasons whyStarfieldmay take longer than it should is the boring Temples that feature in the main campaign.

Don’t get me wrong, the Temples play a pivotal role in the story and help to unravel the mystery ofStarfield. That being said, once you’ve encountered the first two or three Temples, they soon begin to feel like glorified fetch quests.

The description further explains that once you’ve completed the first Temple inStarfield, this mod will automatically grant you all the powers from the artefacts that you have already acquired. What’s more, all mentions of the other Temples will be removed from the game with all other story beats remaining intact.

According to themod creator, ‘Revelation - Main Quest Overhaul’ is not only available for the PC version ofStarfieldbut also for Xbox Series X/S via the Creation Club. My gut instinct was that this would be a PC-only deal, so this is welcomed news.

Starfieldis available to buy now but is also included in Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost.
