Starfield players discover they’ve been fast travelling all wrong

Starfield’s latest update has firmly put it back on the map, massively winning over the game’s players.

You cannot fault the game’s scale and ambition. Players have been saying for quite some time though that some quality of life changes wouldn’t go amiss.

Well, thelargest update to dateis now in Steam beta testing with a fullPCandXboxrollout expected next week.

The update finally introduces surface (or city) maps which should make finding key locations and certain vendors much easier - especially in metropolises like New Atlantis.

Players can now also customise the interior of their ship, edit traits and appearance after entering the Unity, and a new dialogue camera toggle has been added.

The Xbox Series X version will now run at a defaulted 40fps with 60fps targeting possible, and all players can now benefit from new gameplay adjustment settings.

There’s more on the way too with developers teasing land vehicles. If you too have found yourself drawn back intoStarfield, you might want to make note of this fast travel tip.

Take a look at some of our favouriteStarfieldwins and fails below.

“If you ever need to travel through a large body of water, you can water glide endlessly if you time it right,” theywrote, with an accompanying video demonstrating how to use the jetpack to such effect.

Unfortunately, there is one catch. This exploit only appears to be possible on PC which means those of us on Xbox are going to have to continue being patient until the land vehicle update drops in the future.
