At this point, nearly everyone is worshipping at theStarfieldaltar, even if that “worship” involves venomous words; the reach this game has is unavoidable, and we’re all trapped in its grip no matter how much we argue otherwise. While a lot of gamers are transfixed because they’re actually playing the game, there are those who are obsessed from afar, desperately trying to experience the game on the only console they know and love: PlayStation.

Firstly, the title of thepetitionis ‘Make Starfield a PS5 EXCLUSIVE!!!!’, which is inaccurate because it wouldn’t be exclusive to PS if Bethesda suddenly released it there. Secondly, the argument is based on theidiotic console warthat keeps refusing to end, with the petitioner declaring, “For over a decade Bethesda games have been released on PlayStation. They perform better on PlayStation, run better, and sell better. Xbox and specifically Phill Spencer have NO BUSINESS taking them away.”

Oh, and thirdly, the petition has amassed only 3,898 signatures; hardly inspiring or rousing forBethesda. So far this week, 75 people have signed it (at the time of writing this), proving that there are a lot of people who simply don’t care thatStarfieldis an Xbox exclusive. After all, console exclusives are nothing new –Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will be PS only, and other titles, likeGod of War: Ragnarok, were released on only PS as well. It’s the nature of the beast. Not that watching people get upset about this isn’t hilarious in its own way – much like watching agrown man cry over pronouns.
Starfieldisn’t the gift that keeps on giving just because it’s a good game, it’s a generous package because of the fools upset over completely unimportant “issues”. If that doesn’t warm your hearts, I don’t know what will.
For those who can playStarfield, you know, anyone not on a PS (just rubbing salt in the wound), you can do so via its Early Access now, or wait until 6 September for it to release properly on Xbox and PC.
