Starfield will be playable on PlayStation after all

Starfieldis set to be the biggest Xbox console exclusive sinceHalo Infiniteand as a result, it will not be playable on PlayStation, right?

Well, as it happens,Starfieldis sorta playable on PlayStation, kinda. Okay, firstly, we cannot playStarfielddirectly on thePlayStation 5. Unless there are some magical gaming wizards, that won’t be happening, at least not legally, anyway.

Check out the PlayStation Portal in action below!

However, Sony recently announced thepricing and specs of its new handheld device, the PlayStation Portal, previously known as Project Q. Unfortunately, the PlayStation Portal isn’t a proper handheld console in the traditional sense such as the PS Vita or theNintendo SwitchLite. The PlayStation Portal can only stream games from your PlayStation console as long as you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. This sucks with it not being a standalone handheld, especially when commanding an RRP of £199.99/$199.99.

So if you’re a subscriber toXbox Game PassUltimate, and plan on picking up the PlayStation Portal, it’s quite cool to think that you’ll be able to playBethesda’supcoming sci-fi RPG on Sony’s new shiny toy while taking advantage of some of the DualSense’s features in the process.

That being said, if you want to playStarfieldin the palm of your hands without coughing up £200, then the Turtle Beach Atom controller is a great alternative at a fraction of the cost.

Inour reviewof the Turtle Beach Atom controller, we said: “Everything about this controller feels high end and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is a game-changer for me. Seriously, playingHalo,Gears of WarorForzain the palm of my hands is something I never thought possible due to my disability. Whether you are disabled or not, the Turtle Beach Atom Smartphone Controller is a must-buy forXboxfans, especially if you’re a weary traveller.”
