Starfield’s best free download only available for PC gamers

As the launch of the highly anticipatedStarfieldfast approaches, fans will be looking at the best and possibly cheapest way to play Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG.

According to the developers atBethesda,Starfieldhas been two decades in the making, but now thanks to modern-day technology, its vision can finally be brought to life. While fans haven’t exactly been waiting 20 years forStarfieldto be released,following multiple delays, fans have been waiting potentially nonetheless.

Even though it wasnearly a PlayStation 5 exclusive, followingMicrosoft’s $7.5 billion takeoverof Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media,Starfieldis now headed to PC and Xbox Series X|S with the hype train at full steam ahead.

However, despite making a decent saving, perhaps not everyone will be keen on purchasing AMD hardware, bundled withStarfield. Bethesda recently announced anexclusive collaboration with AMD, but fans quickly raised concerns about the potential of yet another broken PC launch.

Gamers are concerned with AMD not supporting Nvidia’s DLSS, which can have a negative impact on the performance ofStarfieldin a big way, in particular when it comes to frames per second. Hopefully, come launch, those concerns will be swiftly erased.

Starfieldwill be released on 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Unless you pre-order the Premium or Constellation Edition, in which case it will be 1 September.Starfieldwill also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
