It didn’t takeStarfield’s modding community long to spring into action. The game hasn’t even left early access and yet, the most important mod you’ll need has already arrived.
I say it hasn’t left early access, but it will as of tomorrow.Starfield’s 6 September release day is almost here so I’m imagining that plenty more mods are on the way. The game’s received mixed impressions from reviewers and players alike. Many havecalled it a slow burn, but I personally clicked with it right away. Inour review, I wrote, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of.Starfieldis that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be.Bethesdahas created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.”

Before long, modders will be creating new planets, new missions … and dare I say it, maybe even seamless travel? I’ve seen a mod that makes your flashlight project Phil Spencer’s face. Not quite the same. As PC Gamer points out though,Skyrim’s script extender is the third all-time most popular mod, so you can see why Patterson and Abel were so keen to get it out and live following the early access period.
