That’s right folks, it’s time for everyone’s favourite type of sale.Steamand developer Explosive Squat Games are graciously giving away a free game for PC players, and fans of top-down stealth games will undoubtedly be extra happy to hear about the game on offer.

In comparison to a game like Hotline Miami, the plot doesn’t exactly seem important or particularly well thought out here. It’s merely an easy excuse for players to justify murdering hundreds of people across the course of their playthrough. Of course it is free so, why take anyone else’s word for it when you can experience it yourself without charge?
According to Steam reviews, Intravenous' playtime clocks in at roughly two hours - so maybe don’t go in expecting a lengthy game. The reviews on Steam are almost unanimously positive however, earning itself a “Very Positive” score even before the game was 100% off.

As for why the game is free, it might have something to do with the fact thatIntravenous 2is launching next month on the 15th of August. The sequel looks very faithful in the sense that it would probably be somewhat difficult to tell the two games apart based on gameplay alone, so at least you know you’ll definitely enjoy it if the first Intravenous is to your liking.
