
P.T(Playable Teaser) was announced at Gamescom in August 2014 and to say that this first-person horror game sent the internet into a frenzy would be an understatement. To this day, I don’t think I’ve seen a shadow drop that garnered so much instantaneous hype asP.Tand is still considered to be one of thebest horror games ever, despite being a demo.

Sadly, in 2015 following a messy divorce with Hideo Kojima,Konamidecided to cancelSilent Hills, andP.Twas pulled from the PlayStation Store. Yet, the sudden extinction ofP.TandSilent Hillsinspired countless horror games fromindiedevelopers with its impact still being felt today.
“Haunted Bloodlinesis a first-person survival, psychological horror game. In the dark rooms of an expanding mansion, a terrifying story unfolds,” reads the description of the game, “As the mansion breathes, hidden secrets lay within its walls.”
The playable demo forHaunted Bloodlineswas announced during the recent Steam Next Fest with the developers teasing “Your only way to survive is to hide or run.” What’s more, the developers have encouraged players to provide feedback on the demo to help improve the game when it is eventually released.

Haunted Bloodlinesdoes not have a release date but hopefully, it will launch later this year and at the time of writing, only a PC release has been announced. However, psychological horror fans can at least look forward to the launch of theSilent Hill 2remake when it arrives on PC and PlayStation 5 on 6 October 2024.
