Steam free game drops, but you’ve less than 12 hours to grab it

RegularSteamusers will know that there’s almost always a new free game to download and play on the platform, though it has to be said the quality of thosefree gamestends to vary wildly.

Fortunately, this particular free game is something of a cult classic. Unfortunately, you really do have a very small window in which to claim it for free.

The game in question isUNLOVED, a boomer shooter that started life as a popularDOOM 2mod. We might be a little late for Halloween, but a free horror game is a free horror game at any time of year.

Check out the game’s official Steam synopsis below!

You have until 5pm today (UK time) to grabUNLOVEDat 100 percent off, at which point it will go back to its regular price of… £3.99. Okay, so I guess you aren’t saving a huge amount of money, but you could get a free game and use that £3.99 on a meal deal. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Reviews forUNLOVEDare largely positive, too, with players praising the retro-flavoured aesthetic and ‘enjoyable grind’.

Many note you’ll probably begin to find it a bit repetitive after a while, but for the low price of nothing, who could resent a few hours of shooting demons in the face?
