And I would urge you not to miss out on a genuine banger.AdvertKnights In Tight Spacesis, hands-down, one of the best games I played at GDC, and I can’t wait for the full release. I only got to spend about 20 minutes with it, but I’m already fiending to play more of this deckbuilding RPG hybrid.The game is, as you may have guessed from the name, a sequel to Ground Shatter’s excellentFights In Tight Spaces. The two games are broadly the same mechanically, with the key difference beingKnightsswaps out the action movie vibe of its predecessor for a fantasy setting.The resulting game is one that borrows fromBaldur’s Gate 3as much as John Wick. You’ll still do plenty of fighting in tight spaces, but this time you get to build a party with all the traditional RPG classes as you build your deck and make your way through the game. There are wizards who can offer healing and support, archers for ranged attacks, and fighters that get in close. This party system completely changes things up as you’re constantly working out which character is going to be most effective where. I was put in mind ofBaldur’s Gate 3andDivinity Original Sin 2more than a few times, though things are much less deep here.
