I’ll be honest. I’d be very surprised if it was suddenly revealed thatThe Elder Scrolls VIis planning on launching this year.
I’m happy forBethesdato prove me wrong, but I simply cannot see it.
I am more optimistic about the studio finally dropping an update on the highly-anticipated title though, perhaps another teaser offering a vague launch window.

You see, whileThe Elder Scrolls VIhas been in the works for several years, it wasn’t exactly the focus of Bethesda’s efforts while development ofStarfieldwas ongoing.
WithStarfieldhaving seemingly launched its one and only expansion though,Shattered Space, there’s nothing stopping Bethesda going full steam ahead onThe Elder Scrolls VI- unless there’s a follow-up expansion we don’t know about, of course.
Even still, that likely places the game as being a couple of years away from release but in the meantime, you can revisit a franchise classic.
It’s a classic that’s older than me.

Yes, it’s a classic RPG but there’s something quite relaxing about venturing back to a simpler time.
Like everybody else, I’m all for gawking at a bit of ray tracing every now and then, but it’s refreshing to remind ourselves of the kind of gameplay that originally captured our imaginations.
What’s wonderful aboutDaggerfall is that not only is it totally free to play, but you can expect hours upon hours of entertainment.
