Head 2 Headfeatures a “deep and intuitive fighting system that doesn’t require any complex inputs”. It claims to be easy for beginners which is great news if you’re not particularly well versed in fighting games. One Steam review reads, “Easy to learn, hard to master gameplay, great music and a colour scheme that’s easy to look at. It’s really fun to play around with, I recommend.”

Another player wrote, “Head 2 Headis an amazing game. With just a few simple design decisions, they’ve distilled a fighter down to its barest essence, and it works SO well. The combat is responsive, fun, simple to learn, but hard to master. The AI in Survival is also plenty challenging for a newbie like me without being overwhelming. While meant to be a single player experience, the addition of rollback multiplayer later will make sure this game has longevity,” while someone added, “As for someone that struggles to get into 2D fighters, this game is a good start.” Grab it while you can.
