When a fandom comes together to say something is brilliant, or if they trash-talk it to death, it’s a sign. Sometimes it’s a sign to ignore them, but today, it’s a time to listen because players of one of Steam’s underrated titles are praising it in abundance.

After discovering a small, blonde-haired girl on yourPC– as you do – you have to help Lumi recover her memories so you can both find out how she got on your desktop. In a lot of ways, this game is very meta, with its self-awareness similar to the likes ofThe Stanley Parable, though please only take Steam’s word for that and not mine as I’ve yet to playOutcorefor myself.

Even if you don’t agree withSteam’s ‘similar games to this’ selection, there’s no doubt thatOutcoreis a game deserving of more public praise within the gaming industry. “This game is free, this game is amazing, this game is everything you need for a few hours of fun, entertainment and engagement. The only literal con of this game is the fact that it ends at all… I miss Lumi already!” said another on the game’s Steam page, alongside many others who miss Lumi once her story comes to an end.
If you’ve yet to play this game, with it being free to download, there’s really no excuse not to see what others are raving about. Its reviews are “overwhelmingly positive”, which is markedly better thanStarfield, a game whoseratings have now droppedto “mixed” on Steam.
