However, one of the last projects that Akira Toriyama was involved with is the brand new video game fromBandai Namco, the open-world RPGSand Land, based upon thecomicmanga series of the same name, also from Akira Toriyama. TheSand Landvideo game adaptation was announced in June 2023 and the Dragon Ball inspiration was unmistakable and it sparked mass excitement with anime fans.
