Fans of the show will remember her role fondly as an overbearing, if sweet, mother to Dustin. Whether there was a big role for her in the new season or not, it’s hard to know. She wasn’t a huge part of previous seasons, aside from odd moments of humour.
The interview continues, “What I’m told is that it’s kind of amazing and that they work their butts off and that it’s brilliant. And I think it will not disappoint.”

While past seasons have introduced wider families of the kids from Hawkins, it’s not a surprise that some would take a backseat.
After all, thisnew seasonis the final chapter where everything comes to boiling point and the focus will naturally shift to the kids and their battle against evil.
However, if there is a happy ending, it would have been nice for Dustin’s mother to be there for him.
