
A talented filmmaker has recreated a Studio Ghibli classic in live-action, and it’s basically perfect.
Studio Ghiblihas been responsible for some of the most delightful tales ever told in anime. If I was to put together a must-watch list, I honestly wouldn’t know where to start. While you could easily point people toMy Neighbor TotoroorSpirited Away, another easy answer has to beNausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

What blew us away the most was how they’d managed to perfectly recreate the vast landscapes featured in the original story, including some impressive aerial shots for when Nausicaa is zooming around the sky.

The fan film is said to be Chris Tex’s passion project, as he’s a huge fan of the original work and wanted to pay tribute to the impact it’s had on their life. Apparently, the 16-minute film took an extraordinary seven years to see completed and involved help from friends, family, and self-funding.
Safe to say it was absolutely worth it, and it turned out beautifully on the small screen.
