New players would load up the game for the first time only to discover the story mode had already been completed. The issue has since been fixed but the servers were down for a very long time, leading to several complaints andrefund requests from players who paid to play early.

Fortunately those players are now receiving compensation for the issue in the form of LutherCoins, an in-game currency used for cosmetic content. Players have received 2,000 of these coins, which is around $20 in value, which is actually quite generous. The in-game currency can be used to unlock a variety of character and weapon skins, in addition to emotes, banners and other simply cosmetic items.
