Retro fans will soon be able to play the entire Nintendo 64 game library in beautiful 4K resolution, and I’m here for it.
How is this possible I hear you ask? Well, it’s not through theNintendoSwitch Online subscription service, which is still lacking in some major N64 titles, as well as costing a hefty sum of money every month/year depending on your plan.

Instead, the 4K remastered games will be playable through Analogue’s upcoming console, The Analogue 3D. In case you weren’t aware, Analogue are a hardware company responsible for severalretro gamingsystems, featuring consoles that support the SNES,SegaMegadrive/Genesis, Game Boy, and many more.

The new console will not only play all the old N64 games, it’ll also upscale them to a 4K resolution, meaning you can play all the classics likeSuper Mario64,Banjo-Kazooie, and of course,The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, all with a beautifully crisp picture.
A controller will obviously be provided, and while we’ve only seen glimpses of it, it looks like it’ll be a modern interpretation of the N64’s now infamous controller, featuring all the buttons and triggers need for the console’s games. There’s even four ports on the console, meaning you can load up games likeGoldenEye 007for some multiplayer fun provided you’ve got the spare controllers.
Bluetooth controllers will also be supported, meaning in theory you could use the Nintendo Switch’s wireless N64 controller to simulate playing on the real hardware.

The Analogue 3D is launching sometime next year, though an official release date hasn’t been shared as of yet.
