Fans praised Garfield’s return, leading tocalls to give him a third Spider-Man film and round-off the trilogy. Unlikely, but we can dream.

Now though, details on whatThe Amazing Spider-Man 3could have been about have leaked online, and the brief snippets shared sound absolutely bonkers.

In a new book calledMCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, there’s a page about Andrew Garfield’s third film, stating that an in-progress script was cobbled together, and would see Spider-Man face off against The Sinister Six.

It’s said Spider-Man would have travelled to other parts of the world outside New York, and there’d even be brief time-travel elements, which explains why he’d be riding a T-Rex.

The Sinister Six line-up would have consisted of Vulture, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Mysterio, Black Cat, and potentially Spidey himself following his grief and rage after the death of Gwen Stacey.

Honestly it sounds kind of weird, and likely would have caused even more upset following the negative reception to the first two Amazing Spider-Man films, though it’d still be nice to see Garfield get his third film at some point in the future.
